Congrats on the new gig. Since you are from OH at some time in your past, you shouldn't have too hard of a time re-acclimating to the, erm... climate.

Riding in cold Northeastern months isn't really a big problem. It's kind'a nice really...

You get out for an entire day and marvel at the entire lack of bug splats to clean off your windscreen or face shield.

You don't have to worry about your bags being over-stuffed full of extra gear 'cause you'll be wearing it all. Everything.

You'll ride all day and only see two of other bikers (real motorcyclists if you will) so you will wave like a parade princess at them and of course they will do likewise. That's the true brotherhood. The real 1 percenters.

Your bike never overheats. You don't really even need coolant.

People pull up next to you at stop lights (in cars with the heater blasting) and shout over: "Hey!! Are you crazy?"

To which you can gleefully and quite accurately answer: "Why, yes. Yes I am!"

I'm really lookin' forward to meeting you somewhere along the way at some one of our right coast events next year. We're a real good bunch out here. Not all uptight like them left coasters.

:scooter:

Good Luck and Congrats on your new adventure Tom! There is some mighty fine riding up in that area. But, Pittsburg?! Yikes! That's like Cleveland except without all the Glitter!

Now doncha put my left coast leanin buddies down ya hear? :)

I know of more than a few uptighties this side of the sierras as well...

;)
That was supposed to be ironic. Those lefties all think the easties are high strung and high maintenance. ;) That's not to say that they are completely wrong, mind you...

Make sure you check you trunk and luggage well before you leave Tom.

Last thing we need in this area is somebody like O'Keeffe or Dougie... ;)

I think you are going to have to remove some emissions equiptment to be able to register your scoot outside of kalifornia. We usually don't allow them kinda bikes out thissa way.
I bought my scoot with 6400 miles on it in Reno, NV, then had to drive 2000 miles to be able to register it in CA. It's a 49 state bike. Rest assured, I have no evaporative can, and removed the PAIR. I'm ready to go.

More like Cleveland without the Browns. :clapping:

When I last left Ohio, I had a singular last request...

Please God let the Browns be my pall bearers when I die.

So that they can let me down, just one more time.

Hey Tom !

Congrats on the new job :) , but, we'll miss you in CA :( ............. looking forward to the Spring Farewell ride with you.
Yeah, what the Brit said... congrats on a wonderful opportunity and, afaik, California will be around whenever you have withdrawals and want to come visit... best wishes to you and your family!! :)

Tom,

Congrats on your new job and sorry to hear you have to move, at least you don't have to sell the FJR and you will be hanging around here for a while.. :p

Tom,

Don't take any **** out there. Most of those east-coast *******s have attitudes.

All the very best, amigo. It was always good riding with you.

Dude!

Goodbye to the best neighbor I've ever had. As they say there goes the neighborhood! So much for the neighborhood myth busters! We had so much fun and I am really going to miss you. What am I going to do with all this beer? You gotta move to the food and Pittsburgh is where the job is so have fun! That ride across country with you to Pittsburgh and up through the upper peninsula of Michigan was a great adventure. Of course I will never do that again on a Sportster! Thanks for talking me into getting the FJR. Awesome bike! I learned a lot from having you around. I didn't know what farkle was until I saw your Suzuki C-90. Keep a bottle of Tullamore Dew on hand along with the bourbon. See you when you return to pick up the FJR. :cray: :drinks: :bye2:
