The new dealer I am working with is America's Motor Sports on Nolensville Road on Nashville. They do seem serious about getting me a bike. I watched the guy spend over an hour on the phone trying to track one down. Frankly, I am a little surprised that Sloans didn't seem to give the same effort. I had the cash ready to buy. Oh well.

Update: Took delivery of my new FJR1300A late this afternoon. The dealer was able to get one within three days of me walking into the showroom.

He tracked one down and had it shipped from another dealer. The irony is that he said he received two more FJRs today that he had no idea were coming in. Abernathy's also called and said they had received some FJRs today.

I only got to ride about 60 miles this evening, but it was just as sweet as the 200 or so I put on that rental bike two weeks ago. After months of shopping, I feel like I REALLY made the right choice.

The Beamer will stay in the garage, because I still truly love it, but my ride on the FJR let me know it was clearly time to push the “BUY” button.
I had an identical experience as you. I rode a BMW R100RS, rode many new BMW's and then the FJR and bought it. 20k miles and one year later, I'm still absolutely stoked about my decision.

Go Predators!
