Hey Pat,
My favorites within what I consider "Santa-able" items are these:
On the lower end: If you already have an air-compressor
this guage is worth it's weight in Au. I picked mine up at a ranch supply place ($16 if I remember) and wondered if it would be accurate to within 5 psi. Turns out it's spot on with 3 other gauges I have and the convenience of clipping it on, reading the guage and triggering more/less pressure is fabulous. If you look at my sig (and add two bicycles) you'll understand why it beats hell out of separate gauges (fill/check/bleed/check/fill/repeat).
On the higher end: This Snap-On
ratcheting driver is wonderful. It was steep (Snap-On) - I think I paid $70 bucks for it - but it's action is amazing and the removable shaft and interchangeable bits means you really don't need anything else unless you're adding a new floor onto your home. My best friend (an aircraft mechanic) let me try his and it's the sh1^#!.
Good luck and happy holidays!
