Top Case mount 2006

Lots of threads on top cases, several specific to the 06. A couple have mentioned previous years trunks that push the pillion forward. I can't find any one specific brand that this applied to. I really must have a top case with backrest, AND it has to be back far enough for my pillion to lean back just a bit. Needs to sit back on the sit bones and not rock forward.

What's the word on this issue for 06? Do we even know yet how the various cases mount on these? I think H&B are the only ones with 06 mounts thus far.

Any help will be most appreciated.

That comment probably refers to the Yamaha topcase with backrest. BTW, the 2006 topcase is in all likelyhood exactly the same as the one installed on the previous models....

Well...in normal seating on the 05 with Yammy top case, the Corbin backrest fit in front of the topcase without issue, and provides lower support. My wife leans back to hit the topcase backrest with the Corbin on. However, the one issue when the stock seat was on, and nothing between her and the topcase was that over big bumps, there would be a whiplash effect to the box itself, throwing the box forward a bit. The mount flexes enough that the case would bump into her, sometimes pretty hard! The corbin with back support solved this problem.
