I got up at 2am on the 1st, and finished my state just after 11pm that night. Torrential rain and slow traffic on the coastal roads made it slow, but overall it was great. Kept docs for IBA cert, but ended up deciding to do that separately. Had a great time. If I get time I'll post a couple of pictures this week. Regards- TOH rider #233.
So I guess Lee Martin is your alias name

I will be trying to visit as many sites as I can. I will be at least a month behind due to work and moving and not being able to ride. I am flag number 32 this year.

Picked up a few sites coming back from the 50 CC and finished up GA. This is fun

In hindsight Griff, doing the Blue Ridge site last, after 18 hours in the saddle, may not have been the best plan for me. But it was fun all the way through. I did GA for speed. I'll take the wife on to see some adjoining state sites for sightseeing at a more reasonable pace.

Is there need to be concerned about you Griff? I mean you just finished a 50 CC and then completed GA. Normal folks would take the time after such a long ride and question their sanity.

I'm worried that the symptoms you just expressed here is going to turn into an uncontrollable "feeding frenzy". A few days go by and you'll be thinking about different routes that tie together memorials from different states. Start feeling a little edgy, maybe even experience an elevated heart rate, just from thinking about 6 more, 13 more, or maybe even 60 more memorials if you can swing another week away from home. Only more completed states will satiate your appetite.

As a TOH addict myself, if you ever need anyone to help prod you further into this, I'm here for you buddy.

Finally got out yesterday for my first TOH ride. Small miles compared to you hard chargers. Wife rode along and another couple we ride with for a nice 260ish miles hitting one MD memorial and 2 in WV. As a head's up for anyone going to the stop WV2 in Berkeley Spring they have an open air farmers market on Sunday right where the memorial is! Road was blocked off so I walked over and ended up chatting with the lady who is the director of the market. Explained what the Tour is all about and she gave me permission to ride through the barriers to get my photo. Very nice small town.

I hope to get back out next weekend.

Mikey - I see you did Michigan. That looks kinda tough. Not too addictive yet. Most of the GA TOH sites were on the way down or back from the 50 CC. Now that I've exhausted the local sites, gotta look further. But I will be thinking about where to stop on my other trips this year

I picked up the three sites along the GA coast on the way down to JAX a week ago last Saturday. A real pain getting to those with weekend traffic

Work is getting in the way of my TOH since they increased our flight hours by 50% this year. I had to take a vacation day just to get Ohio done...and they almost took that day back from me. Next week I have training in GA, so I'm riding there and plan on collecting some sites.
