We just spent a week in the Jackson, Miss area, and, lucky me, I got stopped for doing 66 in a 50 on I-55 North. It was about 9 PM and there was traffic all around us, some faster, some slower and I had a rental with Wisconsin plates. I really thought the limit was 60 on this road. The guy came up behind me and turned on his pretty blue lights and it was very business like from that point. No discussion, no answer to my plea that other traffic was going faster, just give me your license and rental papers and shut up. I called the number on the citation today (no area code, guess they think their out of state primary customers will figure it out) and the gal said I could plead my case in front of the judge but otherwise SOL. So, I am soon to be $160 poorer and my cost of visiting my daughter at Millsaps College went up. Is this worth hasseling about and will any points migrate to my Oregon license?
