Hey,,

I just want to make sure that everyone knows that there is a huge car show in Pidgen Forge this weekend ,,, soooo avoid it if possible,, the traffic from Sevierville to Gatlinburg will be a ZOO!!!!!!! I usualy go to this Goodguys Hot Rod show every year,,, so take it from me,,, go around it!!!

How far does that traffic extend? I was thinking about doing the road that cuts through the park. Is that going to be a crawl, too? DANGIT!

Does that make Friday night for EYEtalian a bad idea, too?

FJRocket, we're planning on cutting through the park, too. I am counting on the fact that it'll be Friday afternoon & the traffic will be minimal as opposed to the middle of the weekend with the traffic jam from hell. Also, you're on 441 for like 20 miles... now, 20 miles of traffic would suck toe jam for sure. There doesn't appear to be another good crossing unless you get off of the BRP around Ashville. That'd be a total bummer! I am looking so forward to riding the BRP south in this area.

In my experience, the back roads around gatlinburg can be hit or miss, but usually start backing up 2 or 3 miles outside of town.

Here is a map of what I would conisder "possible high traffic zones" marked in red.

(please ignore the pinned spots and directions, those are for me)

As for EYEtalien as it was so dubed, I'm still game. I'll sneak into town the back way, and the resteraunt is on the back end of town anyway, so I'll deal with the mild traffic I will inevitably come upon. All those who feel brave enough I encourage to attend with me! The path to the Italian resteraunt is the dotted red line at the bottom.

BTW, anyone coming from the East I'll gladly share my backroads that cut across sevierville the narrow way, and keeps traffic to a minimum.
