The current Dauntless Hitch group buy has me looking into trailers more. Had originally dismissed the idea due to cost of motorcycle trailers, but came across this thread and the first pic has what appears to be a small utility trailer with car topper on it.

So, just did a quick search and harbor frieght has a reasonibly priced trailer

Sears has numerous car tops which would work well

Does anybody have any experience doing this? How well does it work out? Any negitives going this route?

Seems a good way to save lots of money compared to the offerings from motorcycle specific trailer companies.

EDIT- I found a lot info about trailers here: Motocampers.com

Not everthing on this site is related to pulling a camp trailer.

I am considering this unit as a cheap trailer:

Plans to build a camping trailer:

What I really want is a trailer that looks like I am towing a Harley. I just find humor in the idea of passing a HD pulling a HD with my FJR.

Yes, I have experience doing this. As a matter of fact, I still have the trailer. It works excellently. NO problems, whatsoever.

Now, what I don't have, is an FJR. Wanna trailer?

This should haul pretty much everything for a weekend jaunt, and a plus is easy unloading of all that crap the SO found "antiquing" once your weary *** finds home base.

Mine looks like "clikcy 2." If that's what you're after, I'll sell you mine at a right price.
