OK - the dog-in-the-tee-shirt-eating-with-his-hands wasn't a big hit ;)

But c'mon ..... you gotta appreciate Rick Mercer in

(I'm wondering if this has been posted - and I've forgotten. Age would have nothing to do with that ..... )

Not all that funny but sad that in is close to how the "security" check is. Good reason to tarvel with the Feejer.

Ya...the U.S. government knows how dangerous dem dere Canuckians is, eh.

And, Imp, it isn't much better crossing on the FJR. I seem to remember 3 of us being held for 20-25 minutes, in the rain, on the way to Banff and CFR last year.

It musta been the way you looked, they let us right through with hardly a problem. :)

https://members.shaw.ca/kcic1/canisms.html Mary Ellen, I had no idea who Rick Mercer is; so, I've been studying this informational pamphlet. It's been so very helpful!

I now know: Mickey and 2-4's means "Party at the camp, eh?! But, my 9-year old blonde Labrador Retriever "Bear" and I still vote for the dog in the T-shirt video!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kkYhCX1uqQ This's also been an asset! I think if I study Canadian real diligently, I'll be ready for CFR 2010 in the next 4 months!

On the way to CFR last year, I crossed at Chief Mountain, and had this exchange with the CBSA officer:

  • CBSA: Do you have any weapons - guns, knives, things like that?

Me: No, sir

CBSA: Do you have any recreational drugs?

Me: No

CBSA: Would you like some?

A great guy, at a lonely outpost. He had a BMW, and told me about a bunch of great roads in southwestern Alberta. I spent 2 minutes at the crossing...
