The ironic thing about this ENTIRE thread is how many STUPID moves I see EVERY DAY by people in cages, on bikes, walking, etc., which tend to come from a bit (or sometimes chronic) inattention...EVERY ONE OF US HERE IS GUILTY OF IT. But when AN officer does something it becomes a shooting gallery for 'em. EVERYTHING that happens is a result of a CHAIN OF EVENTS...not a singular act. Did he have some blame? maybe...did the rider? maybe...were any of us there to break down a scene looking at the evidence there or possible speed of the bike, are the u-turn was made, etc. etc. etc? nope....

Long story short...get back on topic of what James Burleigh was talking about and RIDE SAFELY!!! let's keep ourselves intact so that we can continue to get on here and discuss things we don't really know everything about...just sayin'... :friends:

The ironic thing about this ENTIRE thread is ....
True dat. I remember when I totaled the Subaru with my GS1100GL how many people said "he was going 80mph and swerving all ovah da place!" and nobody knew WTF they were talking about, even though supposedly they were "eyewitnesses" - and we aren't even eyewitnesses.

If I was doing any more than the 45mph that I was riding, I wouldn't be here to dispute it. My fault was signaling a lane change and taking too long to look over my shoulder to make sure I wasn't cutting off a Jeep. The old lady said "but he had on his signal to turn!" and so I don't do that any more.
