Getting a Russell Day Long for my 2012 and the builder told me I’m sitting very forward on the seat and I really need to get the handle bars moved back as well as raise them about an inch. I have looked at risers but all they appear to do is move the handlebars up. So this has lead me to possibly spending a lot more than I want on this, the Heli Triple Clamp looks like it will fit the recommendation.
So here is my situation, if I buy Heli it has to be pretty low key and I have to install it when no one else is home. (I need to avoid the question, so what’s this and/or what are you doing? Then the follow up question I know will be, sooooooo how much did this cost?) So I need to be as efficient as possible with my time if I buy the Heli. What do I do with the handlebars once removed to avoid tipping them upside down? I read if the reservoirs get tipped upside down you need to bleed the lines to make sure air didn’t get in to them. If that happened I probably won’t have the time to do a bleed and will be stuck.
If there is something less expensive than Heli that accomplishes the same thing, I’d be open to taking a look at that.
