Post for dealer feedback on Wards Yamaha located in Troy, AL

Will post my FJR experience when it arrives -- waiting for an AE.

Have previously purchased 4 vehicles, no problems.

2 FJR's are generally parked outside -- one wrench owns one, one parts sales/helper owns one. Seem knowlegeable with respect to the FJR (technically anyway). Will post soon (I hope)

Picked up my '06 FJR 1300 AE Saturday. Pleased with the service. All pre-checks done ok.

I recommend this dealer if you're in Troy and need service/help/parts for your FJR.

Picked up my 06 yesterday after 25,000 mile valve clearance check. $302 total (4.5 hours labor). Great service even washed my bike. Make sure you ask for Ronnie to be the mechanic. He is knowledgeable, meticulous and looking to get an 07. :D

2006 in for ECM replacement, no problems -- all went very smoothly.

Ordered the parts last week, they called earlier this week and said the ECM was in.

I asked if I needed an appointment, service said "No problem -- just come in anytime you want and we'll swap the ECM's"

Took it in this morning, they took care of it quickly -- no problems!

I've known the Wards since they were in Ozark, Yes! Ozark AL back in the early 70's. Audie and his Mom (Brenda) have run a top notch dealership since way back then and they learned it well from Audie's dad, Mr. Ward.

I spent a lot of time with Audie back in our Motocross racing days and even worked a short stint in the shop while going to Troy State University in 1978. They have always been great people to me and many others in the area. They are in business to stay in business and will treat a customer right.

Took bike in for 75,000 mile valve check. Picked it up this afternoon as promised. $316. All still within spec (factory shims). Ronnie is the only person besides myself that I let work on my bike. :yahoo:
