Hello guys!

No matter to feel abused. I do not list all my published videos. But here I will provide the newest clips which I uploaded yesterday to Google Video.

The first clip is not taken by myself. A buddy of me rides behind me when we're crossing the country for a coffee at the Torfhaus (well known biker rest in the Harz range nationalpark). On the way we passed over the Kyffhaeuser range. It is a very small area with only one mountain and some hills. The road passes nearly over the top (the highest point is a monument for the old german imperator Barbarossa in the 12th century). One times a year the road was closed for a hillclimb race by the local motorsport club in cooperation with the ADAC (translate: common german automotive club). The racetrack is in reverse direction the part from Kelbra to the toppoint (where you hear the horn in the video). In 2005 the road was completely closed for a new surface and adding some security features. 2006 it was reopened with the hillclimb race. Its now a really well surface!

The hill is very popular to the local heros and tourists. Most times lovely called the Kyff. You can also find many videos on Google about this track. These boys are the best and beat me with 26 seconds on best timings: uphill, downhill. At weekend there is no good racing - too many people. We had our ride on wednesday, 2007 april 25th.

The next four videos where taken belong our annual FJR meeting in the Dolomites this year (2007 Oct. 2nd). The last day my buddy Tom and I leave the daisypickers to do it our own way in low-altitude flight. This is the story of Tom and Troy as TnT in Southtirol - Rock the hills.

Leaving our hotel (mapview) at the Karerpass (passo di Costalunga) between Rosengarten and Latemar first we pass the vale of the Etsch (Adige) river (Eggental, Val d'Ega) on our way from Deutschnofen to Bozen (Bolzano). Most times here is many traffic and there are high service costs for the goverment to keep the road healthy (falling stones from the rockwalls). So they drill a lot of tubes and next year the panoramic road will be closed for public traffic.

After Bozen (Bolzano) we choose the Mendelpass (passo della Mendola) to climb. There are not so many altitude meters to override but it is a very fine road. With it's new surface in 2006 you can join the corners full of pleasure. Most hairpin bends are not so sharp and have a good radius for our FJR.

Near noon we arrived the Gampenjoch (passo delle Palade) where we take our lunch. The road isn't very spectacular. Less altitude rises/falls and no hairpins. After lunch we become a bit weak and do it the smoothly.

Our last passroad in Italy was the Jaufenpass (passo Giovo). Here you have corner to corner and it is very pleasant to fight for speed here. I was very offend by my camera which ends the tape just one mile before the highest point of the passroad. :( But none will look for the cam on such a hot road. I'm sorry you have lost the panoramic road at the last yards where the road is stamped in the rock on the left side and having a phantastic panorama view to the right side.

Troy,

Nice videos and nice riding. Stunning locations and roads. Thanks for posting. With the forecast here, it may be as close as I get to riding for a while.

I just watched the first video listed...that was a great video! Sehr Gut! :yahoo:

I will watch the other videos when I have time...I think I would like to tour deutschland if it looks like that! :) Actually, my brothers and I and my sons all took German in high school, I love history and german history...It would be a dream to come over to tour sometime. That would be a once-in-a-lifetimer trip for me...especially with the present exchange rate.

Anyways, great videos, thanks for your contributions. :clapping: :clapping:

-EDIT- Thanks for the google map views! You rock!

eesh....me ears were popping from the altitude changes...you fuckers are crazy....is that scraping I hear....a bit o' the pipes maybe making some um....contact?

I'm glad to read your comments. :exhappysmiley:

Yeah, if you want you're invited to visit Germany or central Europe as well. But you have to call me, maybe write me. The country isn't so wide that anything is impossible. Lets have a beer together. :drinks:

Scraping with the pegs isn't so exceeding with a stock bike. The elevation of the chassis increase the possible lean angle. HPT has rised the tail of his FJR about one inch and a bit. At my FJR I expand the frontfork and rised the steeringhead about 1 inch and the tail about 3 inch (actual). Tom has lower the steeringhead by lower position on the frontfork about a half inch and rises the tail with a longer rearshock ... I'm not sure but think about 3 inch. We all could still on scrape with the footpegs. Sometimes with the stands and the brakepedal when we goes really crazy. Scraping with the pipes makes the bike insecure. My stock cans was scratched at both sides. But when hit the surface too hard the reartire suddenly loose the contact and drift off the line ... very difficult to catch the bike and stay on the road. I've get this nasty surprise three times and left a skidmark in my pants. So everyone of us use the Sebring Twister cans with oval design. They don't scrape till the outer border of the tire. Michelin guarantee a lean angle of 51,2 degrees. On the FJR this is limited by the bike. I'm still on modifying ...

Awesome videos. That's one area that I would love to get into is video taping my rides. Who is the music used on the FJR-ESS-2006 tour. It is a 8:25 video. Love that first song, although both were good. If you get a chance let me know. Would love to get it. There is some stuff listed at the end, but sorry, i can't read it.

On that first vid, someone should have told this stupid lorry driver to stay off of y'alls personal racetrack... here he is (at 7:47 into the vid) crossing over into your racing line....

Good thing it wasn't one of those times where you were touching down yet another hard part, resulting in a left drift. Oh, well.... at least you weren't going too fast for the conditions.

Viel Glück! ;)

Hi devanator,

unless you was on my freenetBIKER website you've seen the clip about the pretour of the guides. At the end it is an acknowledgment to my guides and sponsors to gave them some honor.

Danke! Vielen Dank!

You're nice. :) It's a pleasure to read the comments.

Very different to the readers comments in german boards. There publishers often get bad (abusing?) comments for such vids from some do-gooder. "Here you are too fast. There you cut the corner/crossing the line. The distance is not right. Rowdy. Too loud, wrong soundtrack." and so on. The same on farkles and mods. Therefore I stopped providing some content in the german boards.

April sounds good. No sheduled meeting as yet. But be forewarned: the weather in april is capricious in germany.

Ok, I've watched the whole series and am convinced that y'all are certifiably ******* sick crazy.....especially considering how much trust you place in the conditions of the road. Granted, you said it was recently redone but, what about a bit of rain washing some sand onto the road?
