I'm glad your keeping this open until the weekend as some of us don't get paid until Friday!

Hi. my sister Kyla made a forum account and i'm on it. My names Aaron Knight.
thank you all so much. I wasn't aware that my dad's forum buddies were so amazing. We are all extremely touched by the kind words being spoken here at fjrforum. Today we are going to set the dates for the memorial etc etc. and you will all be kept in the loop.

i'm not sure how aware most of you are about us kids, but it goes; Aaron Knight(19), Kyla Knight(18), Alex Fisk(17).

thanks again. I can't tell you how appreciative we are of the help we've received. :)
We CAN tell you how much we all appreciated your Dad for his many words of advice, the offers of help, the help given, and for the person that he was. His spirit will always ride with us.

You all take good care of each other ..

Wow!!! I just looked back at the total donations and was blown away. I had no idea the total amount had grown so large. That is awesome.
Yep!

91 people for $4878 = an average donation of $50+ :yahoo:

I just wish I could do more.
The new math got you, didn't it? It's 124 contributors, not 91. But, your total of $4878 was correct making an average of roughly $40 per donor, which is still outstanding!

Roughly half way to the goal in less than 2 days!
That one eye thing of mine musta missed a column

BUMP

I know I have been fairly quiet and I am sorry if anyone feels neglected. I'm just trying to keep everything from falling apart and taking care of things.

You are all so truly amazing and Andrew and I love you all. This community is unlike anything I have ever experienced in my lifetime. The love, the friendship and the community are just amazing.

Thank you all for your thoughts, contributions and words and pictures. I will take time at a later date to read each and every one of your posts. Right now, I am just hurting too much.

I love you all,

Sherri

Sherri, know everyone here loves you and Andrew very much, take all the time you need. No one is feeling neglected. You will gain alot of strength once you have time to read all the post. I just spent 2 hours doing so and marvel at the number of people that really loved Andrew.

+1 to that.

DONATIONS WILL CLOSE ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2007 at 6:00pm PST. This is so I can have a clean break so that I can provide 100% of the donated amount to the family.

As of this posting, November 14, 2007, 9:40pm, we have just over $5800!

I have been in contact with forum administrators, Andrew's friends and family, and we have decided to disseminate the money as follows:

  • Pay funeral expenses (est: $4000)
  • Pay reception expenses (est: $1500)
  • Flower arrangement (est: $200)
  • The remaining funds will be presented to Sherri and the kids
Remember, funeral expenses don't just stop with the funeral. There will be many unforeseen challenges that lie ahead for Sherri and the kids.

Big Ditto..

This prompted me to (finally) set up a Paypal account which took a few days to fund. My own contribution has been sent.

Sadly, I never got to know Andrew like many of you although did meet him once on one of those FJR forum north/south "meet 'n greet" lunch rides. We did exchange PMs a few months ago when I was advertising my FJR here for sale. He was very thoughtful and I sensed what genuine guy he was (man, how it sucks to write that in past tense).
