The Japanese owner of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle that was washed out to sea in the tsunami last April says its discovery on a remote beach on the West Coast of B.C. last week is a miracle.
The owner Ikuo Yokoyama, a 29-year-old resident of the town of Yamamoto, in Miyagi Prefecture, was tracked down by a Harley-Davidson representative in Japan who saw the story, first reported by CBC News, in the media.

A company spokeperson told CBC News they are now hoping to pay for the return of the bike to Yokoyama and to see if they can restore it for him.

Read that on Yahoo earlier today... Hope the owner is alive to claim his bike. A fitting end to an amazing story.

Harley in Japan says they are hoping to restore the bike for the owner, Ikuo Yokoyama. That's cool, but I think it would be even cooler if Harley Canada did the restoration :D

Myself, I think it would be cooler if the Japanese government took back the Harley and gave him a Yamaha.

I'm not sure what one of those is, but I think I'd like one.

Well I guess HD's are completely worthless. You can't even use them as a boat anchor.

Somewhere a middle-aged Japanese man, experiencing a mid-life crisis, with a goatee and small genitals is missing his Harley. :glare:

Are you sure you want one of these???

I can send you some of mine (used of course) you would only need to "PAINT" your own Maple leaf! There will be enough real estate to "PAINT" a few leafs of the dimensions above. Brown stem comes pre-drawn down the middle to ASSist with your alignment.

For all the harley bashers out there, what happened to all the yamaha's that went onto the ocean? Oh they never surfaced. It looks like they make good boat anchors... go figure
