Currently in Vernal, Utah after doing Sequoia NP, Yosemite and Bryce Canyon. Heading north to Yellowstone. This is being typed on the floor in a KoA laundry. Not really conducive to detail!

Chris

The whole FJR world knows now that Chris is in deep doo-doo with his wife.
Glad he's OK and able to get a butt kicking and hug from his wife. ;)
Guys! Currently at a KoA in Jackson, Wyoming. Phone OK, battery and charger functioning, just seldom any signal when we stop, and when there is my outgoing calls and texts are not accepted (yes, I have paid the bills!). Internet connection was also very difficult, but it was eventually by email that I could contact Mary. Communication is the pits when you are riding to the sort of schedule we are. There is just no spare time - this is not a comfortable trip.

Yellowstone tomorrow, and then we are doing the Beartooth - Thermopolis etc

\3 loop suggested here. Because of Labor Day itlooks as if we will have to be back to Baltimore 3 days early.

Regards

Chris

Glad you're OK Chris.

Seeing a big chunk of the country on a tight schedule makes for long days. Looking forward to the ride report.

Internet connection when camping is the pits. I am afraid that the ride report will have to wait until we get back to the UK, or since we are a week ahead of schedule now, I find somewhere reliable in Baltimore.

Currently at a KoA near Boone, North Carolina. We rode the dragon yesterday and are now proceeding up the Blue Ridge Parlway. Recent 'highlights' were Devils Tower and Mammoth cave. Biggest ripoff was $20 for ten minuyes parking at Mt Rushmore.

Managing to get at least one text a day away tomy wife Mary, you will be relieved to know. Sorry that we haven't been able to meet up with anyone due to schedule changes and appalling communication possibilities.

Regards

Chris

Some really nice folks at the KOA. The FJ Spring Rally is there every year in May. Cell coverage, etc. is crap, tho. You should head to Shady Valley and ride The Snake, too.

Hi Chris........

sounds amazing what you guys are doing!!!!!!!!!!

I'm also from England and would like to get in touch to find out how much it cost to send your bike by boat to USA and back compared with transporting it by air.

Plus to pick your brains re why the bikes got delayed by Customs when they arrived at Baltimore and to get any tips re trying to overcome those problems........

and for any tips and advice re your trip.

Gonna do it myself some day.

Hope all goes well.

Currently at a campsite laundry (again!) in Gettysburg, PA. Not a KoA this time. Hope to 'do' the battlefield tomorrow. We rode the Skyline Drive today. Not sure how the next 10 days will be filled.

Chris

You are in my neck of the woods, yell if you need some help or anything. Since you are ahead of schedule, I have spare rooms if you want to unwind for a day or so, sit on something that is not moving...

POR!!!

Press On Regardless!

Writing in luxury from the lobby of a motel in Phillipsburg, PA. We are on our way to Niagara Falls. Not sure if the bike insurance would cover us for Canada, though. We did a bus tour of the Gettysburg battle site today, plus the film, cyclorama (very impressive) and museum. Tomorrow will also probably be a short day since Geoff wants to get an oil and filter change.

Regards

Chris
