Jenny is 5'8 and says she is more comfortable on the '06 than the '04, and she had no complaints up to 400 miles a day on the '04. That said, last year I gave her a "job". She became our official photographer, and the distraction really seems to have helped her endurance. Now, she makes these great music CD's of our trips, gets pics I can't take while driving, and I don't have to be both the operator and photographer. Not to mention, for the first time in all the years I have been traveling on the bike, I'm actually in some of the pictures. The Intercom and music for her really makes riding more enjoyable for her as well.

K & N by any chance Timalan?

NOPE. the other one in BA. M and W powersports. Price is a little high though. I think i'll be going to Alabama in early March. Put the Connie and the Dakota and the Neon up for sale... today.... if just one of them sells. I'll be going to moonshine rally in april on a new FJR. :yahoo:

Baker Boys Yamaha, here in OKC, has an 07 std shift bike on the floor they may deal with you. Give them a call tell them Glenn sent you.

Yep the VStream is great for long touring rides. If i raise it all the way up we both are in a quiet zone on the highway. Shes not a big fan of highway speeds as it is, so this really helps. She is 5'7'' and her knees used to bother her until we got her some shoes without heels and that helped the bloodflow. Then of course the seat...Russell Day Long and now we're set.

My wife has no complaints, as I have installed peg lowering kits, cyclistic + custom floorboard/pads,Starcom for music/intercom/phone... Garauld's rack/backrest on the way as long as she dosen't see the speedo all is good OH.. Except for that minor discussion with that one m/c riding state LEO....Just shop talk of course!!! My speedo and the posted were too close apart!!!!

Have an 05 with 20,000 plus, maybe 15,000 two up (SV Suzuki for one up). No significant farkles other than 4" over windshield. Wife is 5'5" and 130 or so. Sometimes with GIVI 460 if out for several days. Often with just saddlegbags and no back rest. She likes it as is just fine. We do not do the miles in a day that we used to, but we are still good for 400 to 500 in a day. Had a Concours years back. Give the FJR a try as it is.
