Uclear firmware update 2.19

This is just a heads up for users of the Uclear HBC200 and other models, that a new firmware version is available https://www.uclear-digital.com/support/firmware-updates/

This one eliminates the occasional squelch sound in music, takes care of the crosstalk echo between rider and pillon and is supposed to improve speech quality at speed.

I have the HBC100 Plus and updated with the new firmware. It is also supposed to enable pairing with other brands of communicators. My friend had a Scala Rider G9 and we couldn't get the two to link up. Anyone have luck with linking intercom systems of different brands?

I have paired my Uclears with other Sena SMH10 units, so I think you should not have problems pairing with Sena. I have not had any luck pairing with Scala, but haven't tried with the current firmware update.

The limitations between brands is pretty severe. I noticed that Motorola has come out with a BT GMRS radio set. The Motorola MU350R can sync to bluetooth headsets, and might be a better compatibility option and better range. Unless you have a cooperative buddy, you'd just have to buy a pair and give one to a ride partner with a BT headset, then you should be good to go. It might be easier than syncing across brands.
