It's a GORGEOUS postcard-quality sunny Florida day, and there's a dozen empty bike spaces in the company parking lot, except for my SV-650 and a friend's VTX.

If they rode them to work, they'd have to spend an extra 20 hours a week polishing chrome to remove road grime. Who's got that kinda time?

Most places of employment frown upon bar hopping during working hours

Ha ha ha ha You had to be there!!

I'm at the light on a street in Florida beside a guy with a du-rag and a face hanky on. I look at him he looks at me in full AGATT in 90F weather. You know we were both thinking the same thing...ASSHOLE

HAHAHAHA

That reminds me of the Centers for Disease Control Dr showing up at the lab in VA during an EBOLA outbreak in the primate lab. As he rounded the corner in full contamination suit, he ran into the janitor mopping the floor and thought one was either severely over dressed or under dressed.

I personally like being the one over dressed.

Why are you tired of them...they aren't there.
Good question... I don't know why it got me so disgusted. I guess it's because the past month has been so super extra nice and it seems such a waste not to be out in it.

It is even worse when you are (temporarily) stuck behind a dozen of them doing 5 under the posted limited and slowing down when they approach anything greater than a 7° "curve" :angry2: :glare: :dribble:

Or when you're going to Daytona and they do the same on I-4 taking up BOTH lanes (at least until 80,000lbs of semi-truck gets an inch off their rear fender - they tend to get that "hint")

Heh. I still remember the YouTube video of a buncha pirates on The Dragon going straight when the road curved. Sad.

Commuting home from work last week, I ran into a bunch coming back from one of their "chrome rallies". As I passed two (on the freeway), one decided that he just had to express himself with the bird. I just shook my head and continued on... Well apparently my lack of enthusiasm sparked even more rage with this chrome junkie, so he broke from his groupies and offered chase. Since I commute daily on this stretch of freeway I know where all the speed traps are (and there are a bunch). I'd speed up when I could and slow when I should... I guess this gave this guy the impression I was playing with him and he really tried to catch up to me. Finally, I opened it up until a known speed trap resides :bleh: . This gave him the opportunity to (feel like) he was catching up to me... I wonder how much his ticket was? :lol2:

Must be tough riding in Florida. Out here SR 20 is still closed by snow!
+1... Taken a bike to work all but 2 days so far this year!

I often chuckle about the different "Styles" of riders out there. I used to be

a fair weather rider myself. Always polishing never riding. Then I got "Sick"

on a LD ride. Been "Sick" ever since.

It is funny how we ride with our "Own Kind"... The stereo-type HD rider just

adds "Humor" to rides. Have you ever noticed when your riding- Who waves at you?

My hair length is constantly changing (Don't cut it very often) and I do ride in

shorts with no helmet around town, Cruisers will nod and wave based on their

perception of me. While on LD rides... I dress the role, and LD riders are more apt

to nod or wave.

This last weekend I confused all the "Types" I made a last minute decision to

leave the helmets on the way down to Key West. To make matters worse- I took

the BMW dual sport down 2-up with the wife. Talk about confusion!!!

BTW- I have ridden with some HD riders who could flat out RIDE...

There are not many of them, butt they are out there...

I have never ridden a HD- But I hope to rent one in Hawaii when I nail my 50th state! :yahoo:

BMW riders to me have always been snobs... Until I got one...

BMW riders are snobs because they are pissed after spending tons of money and only getting and expensive ride... oh and the little dicks....

lol, so true. It's finally warming up in Chicago but been rainy. I asked my Dad the other day why he didn't ride in to work on his electra-glide. His response? "You gonna clean it?" Haha!

He's picking up a used Connie for a second bike soon and doesn't think he'll choose it over the Harley all that much. I'm not so sure about that!
