I can't believe I'm being baited into this discussion, but here I sit, typing away.
I've often wondered if some folks just "play the card" on a lark, if they think playing the card will lead to what they want, even if discrimination has nothing to do with what's happened, and the person making the claim damn well knows it. Well, you've just answered my question. I really hope I don't remember your post the next time someone with a legitimate beef wants to tell me they're getting screwed because of their race. Pulling crap like this, you lessen the ability of folks with legitimate claims to be taken seriously. In other words, your "playing the race card" is not free. You do it at the expense of people who are actually harmed. In short, you and I are unlikely to share a meal, or a conversation, or an adult beverage in our lifetimes.
