Friday night BBQ at my place in Pasco is shaping up nicely for those riding the rally the following morning. I'm planning some Montreal seasoned steak, grilled asparagus, and open up a couple bottles of red wine.

Any last minute folks planning to run the rally and want dinner Friday...shoot me a PM for details.

That a little different than the burgers and brats that you told me about. I'll bring some pre-dinner munchies

Matt, I am not going to make it to the rally. :angry2:  Sciatic issue has not settled down enough for me to put it through 24 hours of riding in two days. All the best to all who attend. Ride safely and have a great time!

When could you get away on Friday the 20th? IF we could take the day to ride we could avoid slabbing it and take some interesting routes to get to Tri-Cities then park it for the night there. I could leave at any time on the 20th, meet up in Monroe and head over to Wenatchee then south on 28, 281, 26, 17, or 243, 240. Either way probably take 5-6 hours to Tri-Cities. Maybe we could even take the time for a run up 142 from White Salmon to Bickleton. I got to get tires!
I'll need to see how things are shaping up at work. I may be able to take off a few hours early. Remember, Matt is hosting a BBQ on Friday, and I hear it's pretty good. Might be nice to stop by and meet the other fella's.
Yes it would, and I thought of that. I'd like to attend the BBQ and find out what to bring. He might even have a place for us to put down or know of a good clean cheap hotel. I stayed in Centralia on Tech Day night in a nice place for only $59. Hasta be places like that over there.
How are your plans shaping up Low? I am headed over to Rich's today for a custom seat fitting tomorrow and that will be the tell on my back, whether or not I think I can ride over to Umatilla. You gonna be able to ride over? Any body else from North Sound going to Umatilla?
Won't really find out until later in the week. Got some stuff coming down the pipe and I've been told by one person who likes to mess with my life that I shouldn't plan on leaving early.

If you want to get more riding in, you can head out before me and I'll find my own way.
Hey Low,

I am not going to make it. The sciatica is still too irritated. Have a great ride! I have already informed Matt I won't be coming.

5 FJRs parked in the garage with beds, couches, and floors littered with riders after a good spread of food, wine, and iced tea. We're all getting up at 6:30, be out the door by 7:00, and ready to rally by 8 a.m. in Umatilla.

I'll have my GPS Spot unit tracking at https://www.mattwatkins.org/ibr09.

Got home about 9:30 last night. Had a great time at Matts and good fun at the rally. Had a few reading comprehension issues so didn't score as well as hoped. Left early so I don't know who did what but Matt will post up something.

Heading out the door to meet the Wheaton cluster in norcal.

I will second that- Matt put on a fantastic dinner and was a great host. The rally was a blast and we hope to see it take place next year. It was also strange seeing 2 darkside bikes in 1 location- the earth didn't tilt or anything ;)

Rick and I arrived safely around 930 last night. The only sucky spot was Portland with rain around 8pm.

Back in Seattle after a layover in Portland.

Big thanks again to Matt for being such a great host. I'll definitely do this again next year. I had a lot of fun, and it was great to meet and chat with a lot of you who were there.
