As some of you are aware, I am currently in Utah (near Salt Lake City) for the AMA Superbike and World Superbike races this weekend. Some of you indicated that I might no longer be welcome in the FJR community if I didn't provide some photos of umbrella girls....so here they are....

See... Now this kinda tomfoolery is what this place is all about :clapping: !! Screw the nonsensical fingers and foot positions while braking

Seriously cute!

Buy horsey lessons now man. There's no boyfriend repellent in the world that's as good as the smell of horseshit (especially when the boys learn that it means work), or as good a Daddy-daughter bonder as time spent watching from a fence or rummaging thru tack shops!

Congrats!

I always liked my "fatherly advice" to the young men who came to date my daughter

(Always given when she was out of the room....):

I am about to trust you with the most precious thing in my life. She is blood of my blood and part of my soul, and she is irreplaceable, so here are the facts: If you do something stupid and injure or maim her, you should hope that I find you before her grandfather does (Ex-marine, battlefield promotion to Sgt., 6'4", former head of PacTel special investigations, etc., etc., etc.). Either way, should you survive, you will not like the outcome. If your intent is to be stupid and go, say...street racing or recklessly speeding in your car, I hope you have a chance to know God before I find you and you meet him face-to-face. Have a lovely evening."

Sabrina told me, many years later, that her boyfriends were afraid of me. ME!?!?!? The big "teddy bear" of a guy? Imagine that!

Yea mike... we got stuff in common....AND... that includes our direct approach.... no reason to be less that............... clear, eh

A buddy of mine decided to date someone within our group of friends once. Even though he had been to her house countless times before, and had even picked her up and given her a ride to whatever we were doing, the first time he picked her up for a date it was a different story. Her dad was sitting at the kitchen table with his gun case behind him, cleaning one of his rifles. My friend says her dad never looked up from cleaning the rifle he had in front of him as he explained how precious his daughter was to him. I never heard the whole story, but I guess they were interrupted by his 'date' who yelled at her father saying something to the effect of "Dad, you already know him, you don't need to scare him" It didn't matter, my friend said he walked out of the with a new appreciation for living....
