From Ray... great news today!

"We can stick a fork in this one. Looks good, runs good and everything works. Have no idea how it rides cause I have over two feet of snow and lots of ice. We'll wait for spring weather for the test rides.

I think we did perfect on the Patina factor. Look close, lots of original wear and tear. She's a rider, not a shower.

Purists will scoff and I reply back with a special salute! The wind deflectors, scratched front fender, polished front case, taped on pin stripes (by me, 1976!) all make this pay tribute to Uncle Dutch.

Damn old winter time, anyway! She needs miles and smiles now!

Well done Ray, well done!

Now to get UncleDutch to the central Kali koast!

One down and one to go. The next one is the "pretty" bike. Need to source a few bits yet but it will happen. I have a neighbor with an original 59 Pan Head that will be in progress along with the BMW. Going to be a shop full.

Beautiful work, Ray. Even DC would look good on that bike.
That might be pushing it just a little Fred.

Fun Don, Ray you will have to break form etiquette and show some shots of the old Panhead along with the next BMW build.

When the HD gets underway I'll get some pictures of installing the Pan in the BMW frame. I doubt Don will notice.

I can't say that I've ever seen a "top box" like that one. I'm certainly no BMW aficionado, though.

I do hear of many old BMW air head bikes that have oodles of miles on them and still keep going. That must have been one tough motor.

Good job Don and Ray!!!

Look great Ray! I am sure Carver will enjoy the ride!

When funds allow, I will be dragging the Norton up there

What a robust swingarm that thing has! Then again, that design was probably not prone to bursting into flame. Another thing I don't recall noticing before is the unusual attachment/interface between frame and rear shock.

Love seeing these vintage rebuilds and am really looking forward to pics of an original '59 Pan. Are you going to do the work on DC's knee restoration too, Ray?

I offered to do the knee but he was a little concerned about my use of power tools on his body parts.

I have a '76 R75/6. Definitely a rider not a showbike. But 100 on that bike feels like flying in an iron man suit.
