Lessee.....SQL server...yep, we got one. Rows? Me thinks it's up to about 15 million right now. Database maintance? I call the pager number and go back to bed. :D

I can format a hard drive, pretty good with DOS 6.2 and can do that "lift fifty pounds" thing...

Probably not close enough -huh???

Never mind - didn't see the line about criminal background check...

I develop database-resident workflow engine applications (like ITIL-related ITSM and CMDB stuff) using BMC Remedy, so I know first-hand how hard a good DBA is to find and how valuable they are once you get them. My 3 DBAs on our team have earned the proverbial "S" I put on their chests, especially since we're in a Solaris/UNIX and Oracle environment for Uncle Sam, not that kiddie Microsoft stuff (wink).

If you ever hear of a Remedy job back in Ohio, let me know. I'd always be kinda interested in finding a way to be closer to my daughter, but jobs in my specialized niche are pretty hard to find in the midwest, period, which was another factor in why I'm out here now!

You program Remedy, or use it? Remedy has been my choice a few times when choosing a QA case tracking system.

We used Remedy as a HelpDesk ticket system at my old bank. We used Excel for QA

At the new bank I'm at, we are Mercury (Noe HP) Quality Center for QA and Peregrine for the Helpless desk.

Rayban - I can relate. I work with IVRs and those jobs are few and far between.

I have been a Remedy developer since 1997 and hold the sometimes over-hyped "Remedy Approved Consultant" top certification. It's currently what I do for my employer on a Navy project.
