Twould seem that Wonky has a friend - gee - I wonder who this might be?

She has Washington plates - and isn't naked. .....

Riders are starting to show up -

It's currently 14:38 hours locally - methinks we're gonna see a mass flocking soon ......

That one made me blow a snot bubble!
Just got here. I'm sitting naked as I type this....so snot bubbles can come out of your nose.

Very drowsy. Gonna make one more trip to the bike and then it's shower and nappy time.

I spooned on my last Azarro rear for this trip after a Storm, BT-021, and ME-880 from last year. Damn, I miss Azarros. They rock.

50 bonus points for using the words "naked" and "spooned" in the same post.

Good job. :good:

I hope you put something on before that trip out to the bike

A ==> Heat-Troller, located immediately adjacent the non-throttle hand for quick easy fine-tuning of the Warm-N-Safe heated liner.

B ==> Pro-Oiler control module. This is what allows Endurance Riding on chain-drive motorcycles without a centerstand. The oil reservoir is fairly large (400ml) and is good for 3000-4000 miles between fill-ups.

C ==> GPSIII+, a fairly dated GPS - over 9 years old - that still works for my needs.

D ==> Valentine One Remote Display. 'Nuff said.

E ==> Datel Voltmeter, needed more than ever with the Busa's paltry 400-watt stator
WC...Just curious as to where you have the V1 mounted.

IGGY UPDATE

Last night I received a few messages from Matt (Ignatio) - I sensed that he felt that he had a good game plan in place after reviewing the portion(s) of the rally pack that he had been given so far and he wanted to share the excitement.

He asked me to update his blog if he called me with info/status on the rally and created permissions for me to do that ......primarily for family me thinks.

Anyway, got a call from Matt a bit ago about 16hours into the rally and I passed along the info on his blog

update here clicky:

let's wish the iggster continued fun ....I got a very strong indication that he feels he's put together a great game-plan for this rally and the execution of that plan seems to be going well!!! What a great feeling to have during a rally ....he still has many miles and checkpoints to go .....GOOD LUCK MATT!

IGGY UPDATE II

Got another call from Matt ..just a few minutes after the close of the finish. Well, the Igster certainly had an eventful ride, -complete with a porcupine strike.

....and Matt was jazzed at his finish ....and optimistic that after all are scored he'll place well. Good luck Matt.

..and best of luck to ALL the 1088 riders ...the riding is over and now we're all eager to hear the results and stories!!

update on the geekster's blog here clicky

My first rally and I placed 46.....out of 50! Damn rookie. This weekend has been one of the best motorcycling experiences I have ever had. The riding, the people, the stories, fantastic. If you are on the fence about taking on one of these, take the plunge. You will not regret it. Unless you have a thing for porcupines.

Nice work Iggy! Nice work Badcat on completing your first rally -- that's huge.

Looking forward to hearing how everyone else did, but kudos to all and glad to hear that everyone is back safe.

Great job guys! :clapping: :yahoo: :clapping:

Happy to hear that all returned safely to the barn (in spite of suicidal porcupines.) Can't wait for the stories!

You finished, that's great!! There are a few hundred of us that have never done one of these, so you're a step up on us, myself included. I think it's great accomplishment!

Just ask Iggy; he's done a few of these and he gets better with each one.

When work allows, I'll attempt one; if it's in the midwest :)

If your free at the end of August check out the Buffalo Run. It's a great way experience a rally and it's only 12 hours, so your not riding at night and there's plenty of time for kicking tires and telling stories.

Congrats Iggy! Nice work on cracking the Utah rally nut. Working smarter, not harder. Can't wait to hear the porcupine tale.

Congrats to the rest of the FJR finishers as well. Sounds like good times were had.
