NAFO Karting Champion, 2012
Hey.
I already own a set of Big Ear custom fitted ear phones. I've had to send them in for repair once already, and it seems they're not completely fixed now that I have them back. I bought the middle-of-the-road quality drivers for the audio - not the cheapest, not the most expensive, but still 300 bucks. I've been underwhelmed with the sound quality.
So, today, armed with a $10-off coupon from Costco, I picked up a set of the V-Moda "High Definition" in-ear ear phones. After the coupon (good thru tomorrow), they're right around 50 bucks. I'm impressed!! The sound quality is far superior to the $300 Big Ear units. I haven't tried them out on the bike yet to check on noise isolation, though. I'll try to get out tomorrow and give it a go. The design is similar to the Etymotic units discussed elsewhere on the Forum.
