v-strom hand guards, risers, and interference with mirrors on 2005 fjr

On the fjrgoodies site, there is a note, and I quote:

Also please note: We have had a report that using these handguards in conjunction with handlebar risers can cause interference with the mirrors.

Before I buy them, can anyone give me some feedback. I have a 2005, with risers. But I'd like to get handguards (I ride in NY in the winter).

I have Barkbusters and setback risers on mine. The only interference is with the windshield in the fully down position on full steering lock i.e. slow speed parking turns. No interference with the mirrors.

Kamal nailed it. Mind nudge the edge of the windshield when it's full down and the bar are at full lock. This is with a Cal-Sci medium (wider than stock). I can't possibly imagine them hitting the mirrors!
