Just had my '03's valves checked at Sunnyside. Another FJR with no adjustment needed! How the hell does Yamaha do that?
I rode 300 miles to have it done by someone I could trust. They charged me $203.00 for the check: 2.5 hr. labor $180.00 + parts.
I don't want to start another tire thread, but, I had them put new Avon's on. This is my first set of Avons since my first tire change.
When I had my first set, I noticed they felt "squirmy" at low speeds, and I had a small handlebar shake on de-cel at around 40 mph. This time I felt no squirm, and there is no head shake.
I gave them a good work-out today on some of Oregon's great roads and am impressed all over again. Good tires.
Who knows what the difference is? Quality Control, the addition of Wilburs shock and springs?
Not making WFO this year: I hope everyone has a safe ride to, during, and back.
