I got the black ones. I LOVE them. They accentuate the FJR's lines, and sound DEEP and awesome at idle & around town, and are not annoying at all at freeway speeds. I have gotten a LOT of compliments. Could not be happier.

I am not sure these pics will come out, but here goes.

Nice try! But these pics need to be X10! At 128x whatever they are hard to see - especially after a few brews. I love these and will buy them by Summer's end if the Muzzy group buy does not work out.

Glad to hear positive review, I just ordered a set.
I got mine (stainless) and put them on. Fit like a glove. I had a bit of dificulty getting the Muzzy's to fit the way I wanted on my old FJR. As far as sound, they are quieter than the Muzzy's. I wish they were a little bit louder. V+H offers 4 or 5 different size inserts for these so I may look at getting the larger ones. They come with the smallest inserts 1.5" installed. These are not "loud" pipes as shipped by any stretch of immagination. I'll post up pics tonight.

I think any intake or exhaust mod would benefit from a remap if you really want it right. I have the ceramic black ones on mine and still have the stock map. I don't have any decel popping or hesitation, but FJR's are lean from the factory so I'm sure I'm running even leaner now. I removed the pair system at the same time I installed the V&H slip-ons so maybe that's why I don't have any decel popping. I would echo the previous post regarding sound. These are not loud compared to most aftermarket slip-ons and that's what I was after. They're quality seems excellent and fit is perfect. The inside of the triangle tucks into the swingarm/saddle bag area perfectly and looks very clean and tidy. Didn't notice any performance improvement but as stated I haven't remapped either. I couldn't be happier.

Here are some photo's as promised. There are also a few vid's as well. Taken indoors since it's raining. Very subjective, I've never been able to tell crap from a sound clip due to variables beyond control. These vid's for example do not capture the deep tone.

Slip ons generally do not "require" a re-map, but when a bike can benefit from a re-map stock it probably wouldn't hurt.
