Hey Nut If I wanted to play KY Cowboy I'd only have to ask nicely :dribble:
Toe, yes acquired taste but it is made from yeast and a component of BEER!!!

Orange Marmite is NOT the same as Vegemite, Vegemite is the king! :glare:
Yah...okay. Same ****. I like it too and I can get it so if you are desperate I can get you Marmite...aka Vegemite (which is the same ****) and if I'm wrong I don't care so you'll never proove it to me.

Answer: They are not Marmite in any way or form.

Vegemite is an Australian product, manufactured by Kraft Foods Ltd, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, and is generally described by Marmite fans as a weaker version spread than British-produced Marmite—I can personally back this statement up. Vegemite fans have claimed that it is stronger than some non British-produced Marmite, but that doesn't say much for that "Marmite".

Its ingredients are:

Yeast Extract

Salt

Caramel

Malt Extract

Natural Flavor

Thug's son sneaks into the kitchen and steals the Marmite instead of the Vegimite...at least HE likes the good stuff

Maybe the spinach industry, recently harmed by the food sickness news is counting on the banning of Vegemite to spur sales due to folate content in spinach

The US government has dismissed media reports it had banned Vegemite.

"There is no ban on Vegemite," US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) spokesman Mike Herndon said.

Apparently there in the good ol US of A you have a law that prohibits the sale of folate that is in food? why Who the **** knows? Folate is an essential part of See the following: Folate helps produce and maintain new cells [2]. This is especially important during periods of rapid cell division and growth such as infancy and pregnancy. Folate is needed to make DNA and RNA, the building blocks of cells. It also helps prevent changes to DNA that may lead to cancer [3]. Both adults and children need folate to make normal red blood cells and prevent anaemia [4]. Folate is also essential for the metabolism of homocysteine, and helps maintain normal levels of this amino acid.
SO ask someone who know because I have no ******* idea what flea bitten imbecile thought of this one!
CAUTION!! RESULTS OF VEGEMITE POISONING!!! KEEP AWAY FROM THE BABY!!!

Well, I'm a Pom that lost his accent growing up in the US. I ate Marmite and it didn't seem to help the accent loss

I don't believe I ever dug into the marmite like that kid....good thing, a Pommy Shower wouldn't help that!

Hey THug, I heard the same thing from my wife about 2 months ago. The only place we could get it, informed her that they would no longer have it available. I had become so used to starting my day with vegemite, I was really down with the news. But, to save the day comes Marmite. I had an English friend that had told me Marmite was way better. I didn't pay much attention at the time, but she was right. Marmite spreads easier and tastes better. And, they will continue to sell it in the States as far as I know.
