I hate winter!

This time last year, we enjoyed a week of record warmth in the 70-80 °F range. Sunny and beautiful. I already had 2500 miles on the bike.

Fast forward to 2013 and the current temperature is 18 °F and there is a foot of fresh snow on the ground (still snowing). The bike is still in hibernation and is likely to remain there for awhile. In the past half dozen years, I have always had it on the road by St. Patrick's Day.

What is this global warming **** they are always talking about?

End of rant!

Hi Ross,

One of our hottest summers on record where I am. Been a little on the humid side this week, nice beach weather though. Should be about 78 Fahrenheit this weekend. Hope I remember the sun block.

Best regards

Surly

I would give an opinion here but I don't have time. I have 3 acres of grass to cut before work this evening. Hugs and Kisses from South Louisiana.

Mother Nature must have PMS, or sand in the vag, or some other form of irritation. And I'm going to kick Al Gore square in the grapes. Global warming, my sphincter.

This morning in balmy southern Minnesota, 0 degrees, with about a 25 mph wind. The last 7 consecutive Mondays, we've had measurable snow. Geez.

Good to see that I am not the only one!

To all of those who have so kindly posted about their somewhat contrasting weather:

Yeah...but your tires last longer this way.

One of the many reasons I now live in the other Austin...

Yeah, I'm hating the winter too. The weather's been so nice here in Florida lately that I can't convince my self to stop riding the bike long enough to install my new Clearwater Kristas... Bummer.

Eight inches of new snow yesterday and flurries predicted for the next few days. My wood pile ran out weeks ago and I have been cutting wood once a week since then just to keep the house warm.

Out here on the wet coast it's another cold, wet and windy day. Or, as we like to say,............just another ****** day in paradise.
