Love this forum, great place to vent! (plus my g/f doesn't know about it! ...argh argh ahhh) Summer here I come!

^V^

So I'm booked on a Ferry on Sunday to go to Spain for a week.

Current weather forecast says I'm not going to be able to get my bike out of my road because of snow, probably not even on Saturday.

So, maybe there goes a week touring in Spain, and a few hundred pounds already committed.

Winter sucks.

This is the worst March since I started riding 25 years ago. High temp March 22, 2012: 70 degrees. Today I'll be lucky if I if see 30 degrees.

Sure wish I could make a ride report right about now, you southern n western dudes are lucky batards!

Rub it in some more!

I have to rub it in. Soon enough, you northern folks will be posting up about how tired you are from riding endless twisties all day in the mountains and whining about the temps reaching to almost 90F. Meanwhile, I'll still be down here in land of straight roads dealing with this.

Well, I just got back from watching them pull my 85yo mother-in-law's car out of the ditch she slid into this morning. Enough with this snow **** already, GIVE ME SUMMER NOW!!!!!!!!

...pffft

114 is almost getting warm!

(wanna join the August Death Valley run?)

Yea, you gotta go to Death Valley to find the heat, we can't escape it.

And heck yea, if I were closer I'd be all over that!

I'm just sick of putting gas in my truck at these prices. Can't wait for weather to break so I can ride to work again. 25 degrees and snow flurries this morning, not to mention all the crap they put on our roads in PA.

I hear ya on that one. I got tired of trying to commute year round on my FZ1 and traded in my F150 on a MINI Cooper S. 30mpg driving stupid like me means that not taking the bike doesn't hit my wallet at the gas pump so hard. However, while I enjoy the little car that is tons of fun, I really wish I'd traded my FZ1 for the FJR first. I was never a believer in weather protection on a motorcycle, but did figure the added power output would solve my heated vest issues. I found that weather protection DOES exist on a motorcycle and the FJR does a very good job of it. I was still paying on the truck but by now it would have been paid for, instead I have a loan on both the car and the bike.
