Thought I would update this old thread with the fix - dealer bled the hydraulic clutch system and the clunking and jerking went away. Hope this helps some of you other folks (don't think there are too many, hopefully not) who have the issue on there AE's

Immediately upon receiving my bike back, following some service work performed on it by a local dealer, I noticed a 'chattering', jerky delivery when accelerating from a stop. I adjusted the rpm of the clutch engagement point...and the problem went away. (I set the engagement point to approximately 1800 rpm, about where it was prior to having the service work performed). Detailed instructions on how to change the clutch engagement setting are located in the FJR service manual. In the instructions, when it says to hold the hand selection button for "0.3 seconds", that is a typo; it should read "3 seconds" (not .3 seconds).
