I'm with Howie on this one. My 04 was much smoother than my 08. Don't know why. And for all you guys that have installed the Power Comander, how much total did it cost? Everything. Installation, maps, etc. I talked to several people that have them and they told me the gas milage dropped on their bikes after installation. I don't really think I want to spend hundreds of dollars on something like that and then lose gas milage too. That's just me though. The vibes are not an ender for me. Just wish it was a little smoother.

This spring when I was looking for a sport tourer, I tried to look at a Honda st, couldn't find one in the area, found 1 Concours, the dealer wouldn't budge on the price, and finally found the FJR in a dealers discount building. I bought the FJR because of the deal I got on it. It turns out to be a heluva good choice and I love the bike. If I had bought a Honda I suspect I'd be on that forum extolling the virtues of the ST, ditto for the Concours. Enjoy your Kaw, I'm sure it's a very good bike, I know I really liked the one I looked at, and had the dealer thrown any kind of bone my way I'd probably be riding it today....glad he didn't though cuz I really like the FJR.

How's this for a rambling long winded post.

Its not rambling it's the truth. All these modern bikes are amazing in their performance, reliability, and technical excellence.

I too bought my used 2009 FJR because the deal was too good for me to pass on. Even got a 4 year extended warranty. No doubt the Honda and Kawa competition would serve my needs too. Because I own and operate 3 bikes I made my decision based on purchase price.
