VIN Numbers

OMG, we just got the VIN numbers to our two new ES's. The bikes, we're told, are expected to be at the dealer by the end of the week. This is like we're the proud parents of a set of twins.

I thought I saw somewhere that someone posted the difference between vin numbers in CA vs the VIN numbers in the rest of the United States. Is there a difference? Can someone lead me to this?

Yes I saw that too somewhere - extra emissions stuff required in that Granola eating state..

Congrats guys. I have my VIN for my ES as well (173). It is in it's crate at the dealership. Just waiting for snow to go and dealer to put it together. And of course it's snowing today. At least the crate is inside.

Bikes are still in transit. For heaven's sake, how long does it take for delivery to happen? We may have VIN numbers but this whole thread is worth nothing to me without pictures!! LOL
