I found myself using the Vista Cruise throttle lock I installed on my '05 on a recent 2,400 mile trip more than I anticipated I would. Much of the trip was on I-10 between Houston, Tx. and Tallahassee, Fla. about as uninteresting stretch of road as exits in the universe. Up on the on ramp, settle in a lane position behind my touring companions, set the Vista Cruise and drone for a hundred miles or so. For that kind of riding a great setup. The actual speed controls may be better if you want to maintain an constant speed within a mile an hour of your set point, but for cheap, the Vista Cruise sure saved a lot of wrist aches. Low tech, easy to work, and fit the bill for me. The thumb action of setting and unsetting the lock became automatic after a few hundred miles.
