I called every motorcycle dealer in a 20 mile radius of Philly today trying to track down a VistaCruise to fit the FJR. Many dealers have them, but only for Hondas and Suzukis. What gives? Anyone know of a place that might have them near Philly? All the Yamaha specific dealers either didn't carry them, or were "out". (Is that stealer lingo for 'we don't carry them'?)

I'd go the mail order route, but I would like to have it in my gurbby little paws rather quickly.

Thanks

I had the same issues. I decided to go the other way and ordered a Throttle meister. It looks better, includes bar end weights but is a tad more difficult to set. Then again, once set, then forget it.

Sometimes they have a "for <make>" on the packaging, but if it says for 7/8" bars, it should work fine.

www.yamahaofcamphill.comcall them and see if they have one. if they do, i'll go pick it up and mail it to you.
Heck, that's only 110 miles from me....and I'm on severance! If they have one I'll go pick it up myself and have a little ride while I'm at it

Thanks for the offer though.

Bought mine at Sunnyside Yamaha, Guru Glenn: A Division of Sunnyside Motorcycle Company, 508 Yakima Valley Highway, Sunnyside, Washington, USA, 98944 PHONE: (509) 837-2124

Knowlegable guy to deal with. Gets your parts out quick.

Installation here worked great: https://www.fjrtech.com/getdbitem.cfm?item=23 Thanks WC.

I've had TM on previous bikes. I know it looks slick but I find the V-C works better, quicker to engage, disengage.

It's only 6 miles from me - if you make the trip, let me know

Thanks for all the tips, but my search has ended. My mother (78 yo and still going strong) found one at a bike shop down in South Jersey and is overnighting it to me.

Now matter how old we get, Mom's are still the best :D

And if the avatar is a picture of your Mom.....then her and I need to meet. Tell her I have a pillion with her name on it.
