Voltmeter on the fritz

Does anyone have an idea why my voltage display suddenly went nutz? I've attached a few images and a video below.

I got water into my Datel and it read way high, wrapped it in tinfoil with a night light bulb on overnight and that cured it. I then sealed over top of the gray potting with silicone rubber.

The E on yours looks more like a display problem unfortunately.

I thought the Datel's were more robust for the price.

Mine behaved like this when I had it temporarily mounted and it got wet. After it dried out it was good to go so I permanently mounted it about the same place as yours. No problems since and I've ridden through some frog stranglers.

My guess is that if it doesn't dry out and start working in a couple days it's toast.

It has been about a week, but with 90% humidity it might not dry out. I guess I'll pop the cover and check it for moisture. I'm not sure how it could have got in there.

Man I hate removing those panels. There are only a billion wires in there from the HID's, Cruise, fuzeblock, etc. ugg.

Lay some foil over the Datel, duct tape the bulb to the foil and let it sleep on overnight.

4 watt bulbs don't get real hot but the warmth might do the trick, you've got nothing to loose.

Xmas candles people stick in their windows have the right bulb socket (think dollar store).

I contacted Andrew at MeterCenter and he was very helpful. He found that my meter was 11 months old and still under warranty. He shipped out a new one and it works perfect.

The back of the used unit had a bit of corrosion on it, but the unit still appeared to be sealed very well. I unsuccessfully tried to dry it out before contacting Andrew:
