I was scoping my '04 DL650s carrier and noticed the rack/backrest setup on my '06 FJR would look good on it. I just sat the rack and included spacers on the Wee's carrier and it was obvious if I drilled 3 holes in the carrier, the rack would easily bolt on with proper length bolts.
Also, the 2 forward holes on the rack match the spacing for the two bolts holding the Wee's carrier, if you don't mind the rack setting rearward a few more inches.
The rack in the photos is just setting on, and not bolted down-- the rear spacer in not positioned where it would go (unless you want to drill the rack), and the rack is not square on the bike in the photo. I imagine it will fit the DL1000 too.
The fellow making the rack says he has enough business from FJR owners to keep him busy, so I won't post on the Vstrom forums. But you know who he is, so it will be our secret.
