So I had to get in on this, up here in Alaska I will not see my bike anywhere besides the garage until mid-april (if I am lucky) I do however plan doing a lil farkle action in a week or two, I am going to finally install my autocomm pro avi and maybe some lights if I can decide on a set. Below is an illustration of the extreme's we have up here in Alaska. Winter and not winter.

This was taken at about 2 pm outside my front window this month

<sigh>

It's . . . well, it's cold outside and snow is on the ground and the roads still aren't cleared...

Haven't ridden in 23 days. Dunno when I'll be able to ride.

The Kali riders are snubbin' their noses at us.

The only consolation I have right now is I have some of the best roads only an hour away.

Well, minus 22 here this morning, supposed to be minus 30 tonight. But clear skies and no wind so its tolerable. Bike hasn't moved in 75 days. But spring is coming...sometime. Right now that Yellowstone caldera blowing would be a welcome relief - we could use a little super-heated gas blowing through here.

Man, It's really miserable here!!

It's like 50 degrees and raining here. In fact it feels kind of damp to me when I ride :dribble: I hate that because I may need to turn up the electrics a bit to compensate

Oh and bustanut :blum: :blum:

Even I can't kick a frozen cok like BustaNut when he's down.. It just taint no fun... all you frozen popsicles have my, uh, sympathy, empathy, pimpathy?NOT! You deserve what you get. Be a real man, move to Kalifornia, and ride year round? Oh, you ain't up to it? LOL, all in fun..

OBTW, today it was cold, 52F, and kind of rainy, so cold I couldn't ride. The electric gear just wouldn't keep up, and I hate frozen bustanuts..
:****: :****: :****: :****:

****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:p

:jester:

I don't understand all this whining from you Northeners. I live at least as far north as you and rode my FJR into work this morning (even though temps were down into the mid 20's). What a bunch of wimps! B)

I've been riding the Strom to the girlfriend's place pretty much every week, at least once or twice. She lives up in the wastelands of Renton, which generally isn't that bad, but lately I've had to shovel the snow out of the driveway first and clean ice off the bike before riding it. The Strom is great in that it started every single time.

I thought someone said it doesn't snow in Seattle? What kind of BS is that? At least on Sunday when it was snowing it didn't settle on the ground...

Temps. in the teens ,,, and snow,,, then more cold and snow,,, suppose to get another 3 to 4 inches of snow tonight.

The other day it did warm up ,,, melted some of the snow on my driveway ,, then turned to ice and snowed on top of it..

Waa ,, Waa ,,, the bike is collecting dust in the garage ,, the battery is on the battery tender ,,,

hopefully we'll have an early spring and I'll get it back out in April.... That's life in Ohio.... Waa ,, Waa..

Never been to the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia ,,, maybe some day ,,,

Another way to go out riding....for all you nordern folk.

Cold front just moved through.

Was 80F at lunch. It is supposed to drop into the 30s tonight. The good news is that it will warm back up next week. The bad news is the roads will still suck.

Bob

Waa, Waa, Yes I live in the cold and snow, I've been off the bike since the first snow in November when all the salt spreaders came out.

I'll make though Winter and get to Spring and ride again, because I believe in All The Gear All the Time.
