Headed out to Omak tomorrow to run the WABDR's 5,4,3 routes. We have 11 riders, plus one guy in a Toyota FJ who is thankfully hauling the tents/luggage. 3 days, beginning Friday a.m. in Concully and ending after lunch somewhere near Cle Elum or Ellensburg. Bikes range from a WR250, Husky TE310 (mine), DRZ400, KLR's, KTM690 and 950 Adv., and a few BMW GSA's.

Here's the Spotwalla Linkif you enjoy following along.

Maybe this will encourage SportsGuy to take his KTM in the dirt...

You'll have a hoot! Riding the spine of Washington with occasional crossing of civilization shows it in a completely different way. It's an alternate view of Washington few get to see.

I rode it myself about a year ago. Report here.

Bastard...!

George, I'm not on this trip. My seat is in California being rebuilt. ;) ...and we're driving down in two weeks to visit friends and pick it up. Caging it. Yup, choosing comfort over cool. :D

...and while I wish Hudson and cohorts an enjoyable, safe, dry trip, I'd like to point out that the KTM is about due for it's first oil change, so that's the first 500 miles down. Of that, about 180 have been offroad...Dave... :assassin:

Last run ride report is here...

Gotta say, I am a bit jealous - that run would be fantastic! Looks like the weather will be just on the dry side of ideal. :)

Oh, and if a mozzy bites Dave on his willy, I will laugh at his karmic fail... ;)

I see on their web site online store one can purchase for $3.95 the Discover Route Decal to stick on your bike that, "will prove that you were there and completed the Washington Backcountry Discovery Route".

So...? Come on Dave...leave the cooler cleaning for later...post up man! :)

I put Barkbusters on the KTM today in your honor. :)

Arrived home, hot, dirty and beat.

The ride was AWESOME!!!! Truly one of my favorite excursions.

Sacrifices were made to the WABDR gods. They are cruel and unforgiving, and everyone who passes must pay their share. More on that later, but here's a few pix to tide you over until I can catch up on sleep and post.

That sure makes you happy you ar on the husky. Nothing like being able to loft the front wheel and keep going... :)

That's great Dave! Happy to hear it lived up to your expectations! Beautiful country out there - can't wait to go myself. :)
