I know it takes a long time to verify the ride certs and working through all the paperwork involved and dealing with an all volunteer staff, but having to wait over a year for a cert to come back kind of puts a negative spin on wanting to send in the other rides I've done since then. Especially when others on the forum performed their rides and received their certs in a much shorter time. My ride was in Nov 06, check cashed Apr 07, recd an email Jul 07 that it was on Mike's desk for signature. I emailed the IBA this morning to check on it, but it's kind of like why bother sending any more in. Before I get dumped on here let me say that I know how hard it is to deal with the paperwork, the rally this year, volunteers, etc....BUT!

They are certainly catching up...although clearly not at the rate you'd like.

And you shouldn't think chronology should be the only way to process them. I have a ride from early July '06 that still has not been processed....and I won't be concerned if yours gets done before it because I know Kneebone's standard is inscrutable and the paper means something when it does get finished.

All the more reason to participate in Beeroux's ride-o-rama at WFOs and hopefully NAFO...he arranges for everything to be done THAT weekend. Very cool, indeed.

Pig, now that would be fun but I'm also on the east coast and it's tough to get enough time off to travel that far. I enjoy reading about the rides you guys have out west. Traffic and congestion sucks in the east.

Hey Road,I did my ride right before you and got my cert last week so you can probably expect yours soon.

I was thinking the same as you and it showed up. It's definitely worth the wait, hang in there.

I mailed mine in 2 weeks ago so I should get mine??????

2009?

I really don't care, as long as it comes eventually.

I guess another way to look at it is-

If you keep sending new rides in, you'll start getting certs in the mail on a regular basis  ;)

Thanks guys! I'll keep riding the rides and sending them in. I went looking for a new bike last week for LD riding. After extensive research I found the perfect bike for my style of riding LD.....my 06 FJR. My wife says mine no longer looks like an FJR with all the farkles on it, but I think it's perfect. Think I'll go for a ride!
