Hi All,

You have to remember young Marc is probably more used to counting in $1,000,000 so not stopping at 10 would be quite a simple mistake for him. You would have hoped that the team discussed this prior to the start of the race and decided on a plan that didn't include a black flag.

I expect Marc will be great the rest of the year, should be a hoot to watch.

Ok. WTF happened? Someone post video. I didn't record it and I was sleeping.
Race officials reduced the race to 19 laps with a mandatory bike swap at no longer than 10 laps. Simple math says pit / swap bikes on lap 9 or 10...Marquez and his Honda went past the pit entrance at lap 10 and didn't pit until lap 11. Result -- black flag and DNF, no points.

Holy crap on a cracker...I just watched it (finally!) and I couldn't believe what happened!

The coverage on MotoGP.com says that Marquez's team though they could pit by the end of 11, rather than 10....

I'll admit, I wish they would run ALL the races this way, made for a hell of a spectacle for the fans...it was easily the most exciting race of the season.

The real truth.

You missed a cracker of a race.
Well CRAP!!

Black flag though? I thought that was a bit harsh. I was expecting Marquez to have to do a ride through or something. Oh well makes for an interesting last two races.
