No, 41-42 mpg is about what I get. It does vary some depending on... well, many factors, but I can live with that mileage as it gives me a pretty reliable 250 mile range per tank, as long as it feels as smooth as it does and has none of the lean surge.
excellent...i figure that is not too shabby for a bike that weight mid 500lbs, and has side case on it always...beats my fz1 for mpg's hands down. Yes it is smooth and pulls nicely

Not to disappoint you, based on what your understanding seems to be of the bike's weight, but you DO realize it's mid 600lbs, not 500lbs, don't you???

yeah yeah....it is 537lbs, then add fuel, oils and side cases.....either way i'm still ok with the mileage and the bike being 200lbs heavier than my fz1
