I've got a free weekend while I'm in San Diego. I'd like to hit some good roads if any locals are up for showin' an east coaster around for the day.

PM or post if interested, otherwise I'll be heading out around 10 or so in the morning for Palomar mtn and winging it from there...

Wait a freakin' minute. Ain't you the Shinko clad maniac with pix of FeeJeers laid waaay down at impossible lean angles?

...have a great ride, wish I could get down south this weekend to show you just how fast an Ultra Classic can go..

You know, once again I am in San Diego for family matters, and once again no good riding. Of course I got here by way of FJR. I get out here many times a year, and never go for a good ride. Never been to Palomar (by bike).

One of these times, gonna have to make some time and enjoy.......

So just do it Skoot! EM can ride.. so can you.. What is 4 hours for a nice ride? Huh?

guilty as charged, maybe, but only if my wife is not reading this, and only when I'm trying to keep up with Haulin' Ashe or jwilly....

oh, and it's been Avon clad...

Good luck on the ride, would love to go but have already made other plans. Be careful up in the Polomar Mountain area, Poomacha is about 90% contained and Santa Ana's are expected again this weekend. You will have missed a lot of the beauty that I saw a few weeks ago on my ride before the fires. A few links below.

I'm 2 days post-op, but I already went riding yesterday (Costco for food!)

If you're around next weekend, I might be ready for a regular ride. I'm already planning on going back to work Monday as I'm amazed how "up and about" you feel after laproscopic procedures!

Thanks for the offer; I'm not sure if I will still be here next weekend or not, I might already be on the road back to South Carolina.

I hit Palomar Mtn Saturday; I saw 2 fjr's just before the turn off for P. Mtn. The road up and down was fairly empty with the exception of the (3) CHiP cruisers driving up and down. Great ride, but lots of fire damage in that area, whick was very sad to see.

Thx, -wr
