I am in a search for a 2007 FJR1300A. I found this one on the internet. I would much rather buy a 2007 from one of you guys with farkles.

My question is, what would be an acceptable offer for this bike? Have any of you had any dealings with Castle Powersports in Madison TN?

If you know of any forum member wanting to sell a 2007-A, please let me know. I would like to find one pretty close to Virginia if possible.

Thanks

I gave 10,000 for an 08A with 4yr yes warranty and the Yamaha trunk, 3054 mi from a dealer. Just a comparison. You are shopping for a nice color.

From first look, you have a custom seat and sliders. With the low miles, the bike isn't EVEN broken in yet. Check that the ECU and ignition switch recalls have been performed. Offer $8,000 + tax and live happily ever after. Good Luck!

When buying a used bike that may not have the 4yr yes warranty, are you able to purchase this from Yamaha? If yes, can you do this on a used bike bought from a private seller?

The way it has always been presented here...The bike needs to be under the one (1) year original warranty to be eligible for a YES contract.

The bike I bought had the extended warranty just purchased from the previous owner and was still under the factory warranty when purchased, It just transferred to me.

Warranty, you don't need no stinking warranty! It's an FJR, what could possibly go wrong?

$9,500 plus tax & all the other dealer fees is no bargain; that said, it's a lot less than a new one. I don't know about TN but over here in CA bikes from private sellers are going for way under KBB which is what that dealer's charging. My experience with dealers is that they don't budge on their prices, but if you got it for $9,000 otd that's be a great deal, and $9,500 otd wouldn't be bad. Ya always got ta do otd with dealers cuz they tack on all those phony fees.

It all depends on what you want, that's probably the lowest mile '07 you're gonna find.

Good luck,

I've never had the opportunity to do business with Castle, but I've heard good things about them. Been to the store several times and the staff I've talked to have been helpful.

Not sure the price is great though. I just bought my '06 AE with a little over 9,000 miles for $8k at another Nashville dealer (plus they gave me a lot for my trade-in). I didn't get a Corbin, but it did have a Heli triple clamp.

They're awful proud of this blue '05: https://www.castlepowersports.com/new_vehic...amp;pov=1490032

The one you're looking at would certainly be a better deal of the two, but get them to drop the price some.

If nothing else, that color is SO amazing!

Good advice for sure. I just bought a bone stock '07 with 4500 miles for $8500.00 from a private owner. It needs new tires but otherwise it's fine.

I picked up my '07 FJR w/ 2000mi for $9K, $7K after trade on my Bandit 1200S. The dealer took it in as a trade and it was sitting for several months so they were happy to move it along. This was in Sept. of last year, it's only getting older so I'd offer $8500 and go from there. Do make sure that all recalls have been done, the ignition recall on mine was not performed.
