Please let me know if you have a laminar lip that you aren't using. I would like to try it on my stock windshield on my 2005. I think the lip fit's all years of FJR so compatibility shouldn't be a problem.

thanks!

I don't have a laminar lip but I do have a Scientific California large that I love. Let me know if you are interested.

I am using a laminar lip and love it. bought it new and asked for plastic mounting screws (free) from the company, comes with the 3m quick lock plastic velcro too. I am 6' , 32" inseam and 250lbs. I also put a 1/2 inch spacer under the mounting to angle the shield back. it is A LOT BETTER! You probably wont find one used as most people love them and wouldnt give them up. I tried a few other shields, cal sci large, givi, yamaha tall, and v stream. the v stream is the one I keep for really cold weather. Best wishes on your search! TBW>

Just buy the lip. It's a great addition. I was skeptical until Motorcycle Consumer News gave it a great review. I have it on a Yamaha tall shield. MCN said it didn't make very much difference on the stock shield but a big one on the taller shields. It comes with extra velcro, so you can try different mounting positions. Really helped with helmet buffeting.

About 6 months ago mine flew off on US441 just south of Okeechobee FL :ranting2: .

If you find it you can have it.

+1 I have had one on every bike I have had in the last 6 years or so. They stop the helmet buffeting in my case and my neck muscles are thankful.

I have one and love it. I didn't want a big barn door in front of me and when it's warm I wanted air flow. I take it off in the warm summer months and put it back on in the cold weather. It gives better wind protection and with the windshield in the full up position I have a quiet pocket of air with no buffeting. All I can tell ya is it does the job it claims to do and it's worth the $75 I paid for it.

It's still on the shelf if you're still interested. Maybe my post got lost in all the posts from people trying to convince you to buy what you are looking to buy!

Send a PM if you're interested.
