Jeeez I hope for the sake of the IB riders during tech inspection, you get over this quickly Warchild.

I pity the poor SOB who questions your judgement if your knees are feeling a little achey that morning.

Heal up soon Dale.

Thanks for the update Matt. Hope the remainder of his recovery is less painful. My 71 year old wife Charlene had her left knee joint replaced 5 months ago. She had lots of stomach, constipation and gastric problems that required several ER visits. To her,

the problems were due to the huge amount of pain drugs she had. Hoping for the BEST for Dale.

My only experience with someone going through knee replacement was my grandmother, many years ago. She was a LARGE woman, well over 300 pounds, maybe pushin' the 4.... She was horrible to be around, mean, grumpy, impatient. On our next visit several months later she was a completely different person. She'd had both knees replaced, after having her weight destroy everything that existed naturally between all those bones.

I wasn't around for the recuperation phase, just for the end result, and I can say it transformed her!

So best wishes to Dale, and some unwanted advice: obey the docs, the therapists, and all those other sadists. It works out eventually. Honest!

Dale, the recovery is a *****, but better than hobbling on increasingly deteriorated knee joints for the rest of your days. Flirt with the nurses (at least the female ones), be nice to the docs but go to the mat with the insurance no-sayers. Good wishes coming from Big Sky Country...

He just came by work and looks good. He should be getting the go ahead to come back part-time next week and full time the week after.

He showed us how he could touch his knees and ankles together at the same time...and is now 1/2" taller!

Dale, I would've opted for bionic knees - but we have good insurance at my company.

Hope you heal up fast. My pal got knee replacements after a nasty crash on Hawaii, and it took a good while before they took properly. Wishing for an uneventful recovery for you.

I think what wfooshee was trying to say is maybe these new knees might transform him into a nicer, kindlier person. A total transformation like mabe...

Warchild ---->becomes Peacechild

or maybe Lovechild

or maybe (most likely) Flowerchild?

But then again looking at his pics, that's a scowl only a mother could love .... and there might not be any medical procedure or medicine strong enough to remove it.

You know Dale, if you open your mind and give it an honest shot, Flowerchild might just grow on you.

So now that the knees are good, when are they gonna fix the face????

Regarding the jacket..... "Party of four, non-smoking, please.."
