If the truck was doing 70 and the rider was doing 110, then the impact speed would have been 40 mph. This is certainly enough to kill without bleeding or separation. It seems pretty clear to me that those are human feet, so it's either real, or ghoulishly staged with a real human. The first case would be unfortunate, the second case would be ghastly.

I'm curious as to why there is not more blood, particularly from the chest area.
And, absolutely no damage to the truck or bike parts anywhere...particularly "before the crime scene guys came".

I hate to say it, but I cry foul...

We had a kid hit a palm tree at 110 and he was torn apart to where you could barely recognize any body part.
I was expecting something like this before 16 posts, but I knew it was inevitable.

Yes, it is real, here is more information about it: https://roadmastergus.blogspot.com/ which includes the news link.

But, if you are one who has to actually physically see things to believe them, so be it, there's nothing I can do to prove otherwise.

As to your comment about blood, blunt force trauma doesn't usually cause people to bleed. But, remember, the truck drove a good 1/4 mile before stopping, so maybe there's a blood trail for ya!

ATGATT.....................GO GET IT, KIDS.
Curious, what gear would have saved him? You can't buy skill off the shelf.
Nor sense for that matter...

Around here, the squids play a game... Write your name in the grime on the back of the truck as it's toolin down the highway...

Yeah, that's real bright!

I've learned about this from a co-worker who hangs in one of these groups, who's also lost a few friends and has since put his bike up for a while...

He *almost* gets it... :glare:

I retract my statement...it's sad.

Gotta admit - my first reaction was to search for this on "snopes.com" as an urban legend.

However, the news story link in the blog (your link, above). The web page for the story also contains a link to part of the police report on the accident.

Sounds like "evolution in progress"

christ. it rains a little bit here in texas and SOMEBODY is suddenly ALL about the helmet.

I thought he Cruises when it rains... How the hell does one put a do-rag on one of those, anyway? :****:

OMG, that is two posts I have seen here in the last 24 hours where people have crashed into things at over 100 MPH, and have not survived, even though they were wearing full gear. I was headed toward being an ATGATT rider after several close calls with cars and road animals, but now I see that it is a waste of time. I had always assumes that my gear would save me from ANY injury while riding, even if I got off at say 155. OK, Aerostich, helmet, boots, and several pairs of gloves for sale. Where did I leave my riding Flip-Flops.

BITE ME!!! :****:

When I first got the FJR, I went the racer bit - but it was just too hot.

Figuring nothing would protect me over 30 MPH, I still wear the full face helmet and boots, but I ditched the armor.

I'm a happier rider. :)

A bike is a bike is a bike - cruiser or sport tourer.

Yes, It is a choice. I made mine too. I go ATGATT, Even on a get off at say, 31mph on a straight road, and I hit nothing. I like my skin. YMMV

Yep, makes accident scene clean up and the mortician's job much easier in many cases.

Jokes aside...I know at least 4 people on this forum that are in a lot better shape than they could have been in if they weren't wearing decent gear.
