Warning Side Stand

OK, but I think that I'm going to strap a big beach ball on each side of the the bike after parking, just to be safe.

Nah, man....PILLOWS! You can strap them on the pillion seat when you're riding.

I habitually put the toe of my boot against the stand to make sure its in the forward (down) position. And I do this on whichever of the bikes I'm riding.

I did the same thing! The worst damage to my bike happened in the garage. I was simple rolling it forward. I thought the kick stand was all the way down and it wasn't. Once it started to go over I couldn't stop it. The mirror landed on a weed eater and broke off. I bought a new mirror, remounted it only to find I have a 1/4" gap at the bottom where the rubber meets the plastic. I bent the freaking internal metal supports. I have no idea how to fix that one cheap. :angry2:
